    Gallardo Video

This isn't my video of the gallardo (still working on that one)

but it's a great video that shows the strength and speed and beauty of the lamborghini gallardo.

    Enjoy!

In all the interior pics that I've seen it has paddle shifts.

If I had one I would like it to be normal manual transmission.

The Gallardo comes with a proper six-speed manual, complete with chromed open gate shifter (like all Italian supercars should have). Lambo's paddle-shift system is known as 'e-gear' and is now an option on the Murcielago too. Unfortunately while I would typically like to come over all 'hardcore' and 'purist' and claim that 'only proper manual transmissions make true driver's cars' it seems in the case of this particular Lambo the standard manual isn't really very good. Every review I've read, including those in the most hardcore of 'driver's' magazines has said they would take the e-gear over the manual because it really is that good, way better than anything Ferrari or Maserati have managed to come up with.

Mind you, having said that I wouldn't really complain if I had either a manual or paddle-shift Gallardo! Every day on the way home from work I drive past a specialist car dealer which has a stunning caelum blue Gallardo (manual) in pride of place in their showroom. Ah, the cruel mistress Temptation!!!

(The pics are from the dealer's website so are a bit tiny, but they're just to give an insight into the temptation I suffer every day of the week!)

Valentino Balboni is definately one of the luckiest people in the world. I hope you guys realise that he was getting paid while he was driving the car!
