Cheap-to-run 'Interesting' car Needed

In terms of driving though, and if the Puma is anything to go by, it is massively better than the Polo.

The Puma's gearbox was also very good, altough it's true that the build quaity was a bit rubbish.

Based on my experience with Fords and the Polo, I'd go with the Fiesta without any doubt.

Agreed with everything. I personally think Ford makes the best gearboxes I've experienced when it comes to small, everyday cars (Fiesta, Focus). I also like the way they drive, but from what I've learned that seems to vary from person to person.

Build quality is a nuisance though, I don't mean the mechanics or electronics, but one can expect everything plastic to fall off. :P

Still Fiesta > Polo, but you should go for whatever pleases you.

Did someone already mention Skoda? The Fabia has actually proven more reliable than the Polo in tests according to Autobild. Plus it's better looking.

Still, what an excellent car it was. Like the Mini, but cheaper.

I did fancy a Fabia, but I actually prefer the Polo to them. I had the Polo in an empty multi-storey yesterday... That was fun!
