I think theres still distinction between engine maps and engine modes.

Red Bull gets blown diffuser boost - F1 news - AUTOSPORT.com
So the water just gets muddier all the time.....The fact that FIA doesn't ban the whole "hot blowing" wholesale and choose to tweak the rule per engine make just makes it all the more confusing....it is already hard enough to understand the distinction for a layman between what is and what is not legal, how it actually works. Now with all the mumbo jumbo on the amount of that they are allowed to do.....
If it weren't for the fact that the racing has been pretty compelling on track this year, it really bothers me how confusing F1 can get to watch....

Such a long article about who benefits from rules adaptations and the word "Ferrari" is not even mentioned once....

Scarborough gives better technical analysis. BTW, does anyone else read Peter Windsor's blog?

Windsor waffles on a bit too much for my liking.

Yes he does, but still his perspective even with limited access is worth including... his waffling might be actually tip-toe talk to maintain relationships. Kinda wish he hadn't gotten wrapped up in the disaster that was USF1 and stayed with the Speed coverage guys... Buxton is mostly annoying.
I do enjoy reading Craig Scarborough's tech blog... he's smart regarding what the engineers next step might be as the rules change, even suggested blown exhaust before Adrian Newey used it. And Scarb is an unpaid amateur!

Team Lotus today announced Karun Chandhok will replace Jarno Trulli for the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring, and despite the rumors, Trulli will stay with Team Lotus and according to team owner Tony Fernandes will soon extend his contract.

Its an interesting gesture, and helps the promotion for F1 in India....and Karun seems to be a nice guy who needs somewhat of a break...

Sky and BBC to share UK F1 television coverage from 2012 to 2018 - F1 news - AUTOSPORT.com
So F1 is somewhat off BBC. Transition to a pay channel. Not sure how that affects the rest of us. In US and Canada F1 has always been of paid channel(US: SPEED, Canada: TSN, where the former is typically in some add-on package and latter on basic cable). Sky is commited to commercial free races though(Sky Sports says it won't show adverts during grands prix next year - F1 news - AUTOSPORT.com) Something both SPEED and TSN can use....

Schumacher: “I’m the problem” - BBC Top Gear
It has taken him quite a long time to notice...
Lack of charisma can be fatal.
Visca Catalunya!
To be fair to him, I think the gap between him and Rosberg is not as big this year, and in race trim their pace is not that far off each other, and often he has better race craft than Nico who tend to loose many position from his often better qualifying position....
But yes I agree, being too relaxed is not really what F1 is about....

Life's too short to drive bad cars.
I'd be willing to give Ricard a chance, its not Magny Cours, and it might be decent for racing....and Spa always seem to struggle to host every year, maybe alternate year may lessen its financial load....
