Scuba diving, recent hobby of mine among my millions of others. Scuba is definitely not a cheap sport. Need to have the gear, the training (Very VERY important), gatta have the group to go with, and lastly and definitely not the budget part, gatta have the location. Whenabouts are you headed to Fiji?

Pimento inspired me, so I went down to the thrift store and bought a hawaiian shirt for $5. Blue, pictures may follow.

This is a really bad photo, taken on a grey winter day, but this is my first house! Sophie and I signed the deeds on Monday, so we're just waiting for the current occupiers to confirm when they're moving out.

From a petrolhead's standpoint, I made sure it has everything I need: Driveway space for at least 2 cars, and space to build a garage. It's also only a couple of miles from where I work, so I should eventually be able to own a performance car without having to worry about fuel costs. Good times!

    Looks good. Congrats!

    Congratulations indeed Clive!

You know what you should do now. Go on and explore all the driver's roads around your new home.

    Way ahead of you there!

Actually, it's only a couple of miles from Sophie's parent's place and where I work, so I already know the area. The best driving roads in the county are all around the Peak Disctrict, which is actually closer to my parent's house (about 20-30 minutes drive from our new place).

Haha...seeing as I'll be living close to work, when I can afford to buy a decent bike, I might cycle and keep the car for weekends (then I can drive something impractical in my leisure time without so much pain from ridiculous ownership costs!).

Great stuff mate! Great idea to cycle to work, my job will be moving in a few months so I'm thinking about doing that too. It'll be mostly downhill, so I won't be such a horrid sweatball when I get there!

I bought something red, ugly and horrible in many ways. A few good qualities too though, it's roomy, inspected not too long ago, and it was somewhat cheap. Actually I got it a few weeks back already, but work has kept me busy from doing much to it, or posting it here. More to follow later when (if) I get it to a condition that I'm not too embarrassed to show.
