I hear the 429cid engine belonging to Ford's '385' series V8 was even heavier than their 'FE' 428 design, so talk about the proverbial lead tipped arrow. But yeah, insofar as styling goes, those 1969 Boss 429 Mustangs were about the best looking pony car ever bult imho.
Btw Jack Brabham owned one of these painted in Wimbledon White, for road use while living in the UK, that from new had been converted at great expense to AWD (Ferguson Formula) of which I have a pic and fairly recent 4-sale magazine feature
