    Some affinity? The race track is almost literally behind my house!

    High wings weren't banned because of Montjuïc, but because they had had several suspension (which is what the wings were attached to) and wing failures which had resulted in dangerous accidents. The 1969 Montjuïc GP was the last were those high wings were used, and apparently both Lotuses retired as a result of the wings breaking when they were in the lead.
