In case you didnt know, it is a 2wd truck, not 4wd, otherwise i would have lifted it...make sense now?

In August, im buying a brand new 4.6L V8 Supercharged, same engine in a 2003 SVT Cobra = 410hp Then im putting on some big crossdrilled brembo's all around. Some nice sparco racing seats. And im painting the truck dark blue. And a few small misc stuff.

of course this is all ridiculous and i dont need any of it, but its going to be alot of fun...no doubt in my mind

In fact I didn't know. I didn't even know they made such high pick-ups with only 2wd. It doesn't look bad for a pick-up. However, I find funny the passion all US drivers have for pick-ups. You never use the transport capacity do you?
Money can't buy you friends, but you do get a better class of enemy.

We'll i didnt have a passion for trucks, until i got stuck with one. I work in construction so i have to use the bed everyday. but if you meant the other seat inside the cab, yes i actually use it alot, whether it be for hot girls or just hauling around buddies wherever we are going

    and they are 18's yes

That'll be the Ultimate Burnout Machine!
Seriously, if you want to have any traction to race, you'll need ~500 pounds of sandbags of the rear axle. All the fast street trucks are four/all wheel-drive because of the traction.
What kind of transmission are you going to use?
Is that 4.6L going to be a straight swap?

im gonna use the automatic lightning tranny and rear end.... it will do some mean burnouts for sure

for racing though, im not to worried about using sand bags...here look at this ranger, same year as mine (2001)
it has the lightning 5.4L V8 supercharged http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...g_bolt_ranger/

once the chassis has been strenghtened and the 100 pound bed cover is on, plus 12 inch wide tires on the rear, it should be good enough im not going for fastest time, i just want it to roar and make smoke mountains
