I had to get up super early to get it so that I could ride it to the mechnics to get a blue slip then head off to the RTA to get it rego’d, but hey.. I have a bike! It was also my first time riding on a road today.. so that was an experience... It’s a little pokey, but hey.. it was cheap. You may notice (if you notice these things) there’s no clutch lever.. it’s not an auto, it just has a centrifical clutch. Basically, you just change gears by dropping the revs and hitting the gear lever. It’s a bit odd, but riding around today I quickly got used to it. I got my learners recently so it’s all pretty new to me, riding about on roads without having to pedal.. not scary or anything though, just something different to do. I figure I can get some high-vis clothing and ride down the footpath now…

I was riding it about this arvo and it started stalling when idling.. the guy I bought it from reckons it's just because it's been sitting around for a while and cleaning the spark plug and such should help it out...
I wish I had one of those here. I would be the coolest guy around. Congrats.

They're not uncommon over there actually.. they sold them up until 1986, look for a CT-90 or CT-110. You too may some day be cool!

I was using it regularly, yea.. it was my shopping vehicle. I had to carry a drop saw down to my friend's place today (about 15 mins walk).

csl, I had the sikkid wik soundz inside, so they're still all good.

IT'S BACK! The fuzz found it in a park apparently some kids were trying to push it into the river, but someone yelled out at them and they ran off. When I was there to get it they got a call on the radio about three kids chucking things into the water in a different park nearby, so they headed off to 'have a chat' with them. Hopefully they got there in time.. currently its covered in fingerprinting powder, I might leave it that way so if someone does mess with it again they'll leave better prints...

Here it is. I replaced the basket today.. finally put some padding on there. There's more dust on the other side, as it was that way up when they found it.

Dust is patina. Seriously, glad you got it back... looks like they didn't tear it up, lucky you!

Yea, the only damage was to the ignition, but it looks like just the cover plate was popped off.. the key still turns it on. I've not investigated too hard yet.. might try and start it with a screw driver or something to see if I should replace it (again..).

Cool that you have it back.

You should be careful of sabotage, especially if you're going at speed.
