It kinda ticks me off how people hate on this car because it's the GT-R. Honestly, what's wrong with it? Other than the fan boys and what not, i just wanna know why everyone says this car is made of fail. Everything I've read about this car says it's fantastic, handles like a dream, and is scary quick. I seriously can't understand why people say it's made of fail. It does everything a sports car does and better than the competitors it was built to compete against.
I honestly think people are just hating on it because they assume it's the cool thing to do now that it's cool to hate anything related to Skyline or GT-R emblems. Cut it out. We're here to discus cars not emblems and brands.
BTW to stay on topic:
The OP's picture is awesome and if I had $80,000 laying around I'd buy one right now.

For the reason you mentioned below.
To be honest, I don't like telling the people I like the skyline, so I'm indifferent. I hate the fanboy following of it, but it's a great car.I honestly think people are just hating on it because they assume it's the cool thing to do now that it's cool to hate anything related to Skyline or GT-R emblems. Cut it out. We're here to discus cars not emblems and brands.
I'd be shocked if you can pick them up at sticker. I'm guessing there'll be 20k premiums on the car for a while. The OP's picture is awesome and if I had $80,000 laying around I'd buy one right now.

Not everything that's been said about the GT-R is good. Example, it's said to have about as much soul as a Camry, when compared to it's competitors (Sort like the Porsche 959 - the most point-and-shootey point-and-shoot car of its day). That hasn't been mentioned, but it is a huge reason not to like a car.....just to add a sense of legitimacy to this thread
And on another topic, I have a question - What is tacgnol cat, more particularly, what does tagnol mean?
And on a final topic, what if someone were to combine lolcats and google? Would Googlolcats become the apocalypse itself?

I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.
eh, canada is the australia of the northern hemisphere anyway

Tacgnol is Longcat spelled backwards.
Yeah the GT-R does seem to be point and shoot but I'm not sure that's a bad thing. It goes where it's supposed to go. Is that not what you aim for when you build a car intended to handle? What it may lack in charisma it gains in real life performance and then again, that's subjective because i personally like the car's character and attitude from what I've seen so far and I don't find it lacking in charisma. I just see it as precision.
Rocke is right BTW, I was reading on 3SI that the 1st dealers in the US to put them on sale were asking 110 grand for them.

Well, it depends on what you want in the car - If you want something that just "goes", sort of like your digital camera, thats great, this car should do totally fine for you. However, you can have precision in a car that really requires time and attention to learn to drive it with any expertise. It's not an either/or, as companies around the world prove on a consistent basis. And yeah, it is a matter of preference still - to me, it seems like the dozens of kids from my high school school who can answer any question on a test, because they memorize all the material - yeah, they can give good scores on a test, but they have little else to offer. Accurate, yeah, it is, won't deny it. But so is a Caterham 7
And that's all.....I should have realized that, lol
